The Atlantic Treaty Association (ATA), as an umbrella organization of the Atlantic Councils, held its General Assembly in Brussels, focusing on new security challenges that emerge in today’s world. The Assembly was a good opportunity for policy-makers, diplomats, military officers, academics, experts, media representatives, young professionals to discuss on plans for the period to come, and about stronger ties with Atlantic Councils in the field of research, analyses, training, education and information activities on foreign policy, security and defense issues.
The President of the Atlantic Council of Croatia Prof. Radovan Vukadinovic PhD participated also at the conference organized by ATA:Cooperative Security and Interconnected Threats, which proved that ATA strongly believes in the values and strength of the transatlantic link, as fundamental pillar for the stability of the international system. ‘ATA recognizes the pressing need to spread knowledge in order to make informed decisions.’, stated President of ATA Prof. Fabrizio Luciolli, adding that positive outcomes are consequences of decisions that should be envisaged and crafted in a comprehensive and collaborative manner. This year ATA made deeper connections with major partners from the Gulf and the Mediterranean region: Abhath al-Thuraya Consultancy and Researches and the Mediterranean-Gulf Forum.
