Global processes and security in Southeast Europe’ was the title of the international conference organized by Friedrich Ebert Stiftung and Center for International Relations in Banja Luka. The Conference was opened by the President of the Croatian Centre for International Studies Prof. Radovan Vukadinović PhD and President of the Centre for International Relations Miloš Šolaja PhD in Banja Luka.
Discussing on global threats and security in Southeast Europe, the speakers of the first panel discussion agreed that Russia still opposes for East-European countries to join NATO, and Ukraine crisis was to show that Russia means seriously about that. ‘The international relations today show that big countries try to keep or take a new position in the world order, and every big force sees the international relations from a different perspective’, stated Prof. Vukadinović. Prof. Lidija Čehulić Vukadinović PhD stated that relations between Europe and United States will be active and will exist until there are joint issues to be solved as well as common security challenges and threats.
The second panel had the topic: Southeastern Europe and regional responses to security challenges.
